    Rise of the Tomb Raider PC Game Pass Freezing on Startup


    I've recently installed Rise of the Tomb Raider via Game Pass but when I go to start the game it appears to freeze on the first screen showing the development studios before reaching the title screen, the mouse cursor also appears and flashes rapidly.

    I think the issue may be that the pop-up asking to add the game to the list of apps on my account is failing to display correctly preventing me from authorising it to continue. I have accessed the folder containing the .exe to try and force it to start in
    windowed mode but am unable to identify the configuration file,

    Have you tried pressing alt + enter when the game is running to see if the game will go into windowed mode or pressing alt + TAB, then you can choose what should be shown at the front of other windows. That might help show the pop up to authorize your
    game.

    Pressing alt + enter after starting changed to windowed mode but gave same result, tried again later and it started in windowed mode and the add game to account popup appeared correctly.

    I have attempted to start the game after the PC was switched off overnight and reinstalled with the same result.
