    Rise of the Tomb Raider - Breaking the Xbox edition


    gg Microsoft and Crystal Dynamics,

    I just had Rise of the Tomb Raider crash on me and when i say crash on me i mean full black screen and glitching sounds. Now i thought nothing of it and was about to exit the game and restart it (i had a save 2mins away from where i was) but nope the Xbox
    does that for me.

    After it closes the game it ends up restarting fully now once again i thought nothing about it since it must of been a fail safe for games crashing but what worried me next is what happened when it turned itself back on. The Xbox fans started going crazy,
    they sounded like jet engines and when i put my hand on the console it was warm as ****. (The system was not warm before this)

    So yea for anyone still woundering about picking up Rise of the Tomb Raider don't it is going to break your Xbox sometime or later

    Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox One Exclusive

    No complaints here. When the "Collectors Edition" Rise of the Tomb Raider is pre-orderable, I will have it. And it will go nicely beside my Xbox 360 Collectors Edition Tomb Raider, Xbox One Definitive Edition Tomb Raider. I can not wait.

    I highly doubt the game broke your console.

    It was probably already on it's way out & it just happened to go when you was playing that game.

    If it was the game the forums would be full of people complaining.

    You are right it didn't break my console permanently but it did break it for a while i was forced to turn it off for a bit and to not play it for the night. Thankfully it is back to normal right now and Rise of the Tomb Raider has not done this again

    Weird.

    Maybe your console got a bit hot or there was some kind of power surge.
