When is the pre order available for the dlc rise of iron as it is only 7 days away from release and i wish not to pay £49.99 for the bundle as i have all the dlc but this one so please give me some info on this subject.

Can't buy Destiny: The Rise of Iron

Im having the same problem.. I went to gamestop and bought Rise of iron for $30 and instead of getting rise of iron it gave me $30...??

 

I am in the same boat man. I'm gonna contact Microsoft right now and maybe Bungie if need be. Just want to know what is going on. I'd really like to get the pre order bonus. As far as I know, you can still preorder digitally from GameStop as a last resort.

I preordered it through gamestop's website and was told my code would be given to me on the 19th. The code arrived today as expected, except the code was just for $30 credit to buy it in the xbox store. The store is still telling me "bundle only". I hope
we don't get *** out of those preorder bonuses, or even worse, not be able to play tomorrow because we can't even buy it. sigh.

 

Same, was waiting to preorder it online, then got it from GameStop and it was for a $30 gift voucher.....

 

Talked to MS. They said this is only available via bundle and you have to wait until the 30th to buy the standalone DLC now. Someone dropped the ball on this and I just got a full refund.

 

First, Calm down.... It works just fine if you consider that you're updating TTK. Try this:

For those of you that preordered through Gamestop:

1) Go to Xbox Store

2) Click Use a Code

3) Redeem code given by Gamestop (turns out it is just a $30 Microsoft gift card)

4) Now that you have the $30 credit ignore the Xbox Store.

5) Launch your game.

6) Click on the yellow Rise of Iron symbol that is to the top right of Earth in the Director.

7) Click Purchase and go through the checkout process.

8) Close Destiny and open My Games and Apps.

9) Go to Destiny, click stark and click Manage Game.

10) You should see two things:

- Destiny: Rise of Iron, 10 MB, Pre-ordered

- Iron Gjallarhorn and Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow Pre-order Bonus, 10 MB, Pre-Ordered

(depending on how quickly you closed Destiny and opened My Games and Apps you'll see those in either Ready to install or already under Installed)

Now it's saying "cannot connect to xbox store"!! WTF xbox?!?

 

It won't let me purchase either - says can't connect to Xbox store- why advertise pro-order bonuses when you can't get them because of this - extremely disappointed with Xbox Live for not sorting this they have had plenty time

 

Has anyone found out how to get the DLC when you have the error "Query failed. Unable to contact xbox games store. New silver purchases will update when you next sign in"

This message has been showing up since i logged in last night and attempted to purchase the DLC and am still unable to purchase it via game store, in game or even via the Xbox or Bungie website. Most of them telling me i need to buy the bundle, i am not
doing this as i already own everything on it except ROI.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
