Rise of Iron Not Available?

My son has Destiny Taken King on XBOX1 and i am trying to buy the upgrade to get Rise of Iron but when i go to the store it says it is not available. The only option appears to be to buy the entire collection is there a way to just buy the upgrade to Rise
of Iron?

Thank You!!! My kids have not been able to play Rise of Iron with me until I saw this post. This solved our Rise of Iron game sharing problem.

 

Cannot pre-order Destiny Rise of Iron on a teen account

Xbox will not allow me to order Rise of Iron on my account because I am a teen. But Destiny and Rise of Iron are both rated Teen. Is this a bug?

To purchase just the Destiny: Rise of Iron expansion by itself, you'll need to own all of the previous Destiny content digitally. Otherwise the only way to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron would be to purchase Destiny: The Collection either digitally or via
a disc at retail.

There should be an icon to the right of Earth in the mission select screen. If you click it you'll get a trailer for the content and then should be able to purchase it from within the game.

 

Hi, I think there was a time limit for the upgrade, so now can only buy the whole thing a bummer I know.
