Rise of Iron DLC Issue

Is any one having issues downloading rise of iron for destiny as a stand alone dlc , It only shows up in the bundle

Preordering Rise of iron

Hi all,

In order to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron you must make sure your account which is trying to purchase Rise of Iron owns Destiny: The Taken King. That is required to be able to purchase Rise of Iron.

Now if you have finished that step then you have a few methods of which you can buy the DLC:

1. You can sign into your account via this link here:
www.microsoft.com/.../c3tbg0pc3fc9 and buy the DLC

Or

2. Launch your game and under the director select the icon for Rise of Iron and select purchase and try to purchase the DLC.

Now you also could try searing the Store on your Xbox One for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" but if you do make sure it says "Pre-Order" otherwise you will run into the issue of it stating it can only be bought in a bundle.

Note you must have the taken king in order to own the rise of iron dlc

 

While you do need to have Taken King to get the DLC for the game - this doesn't explain why it's not available in the store as a Stand alone DLC. the ONLY option available is the $60 collection. Some people already have all the other DLC - just could not
afford to Pre-order before it came out...

 

I'm having the same issue. I opened a trouble ticket for help and was told the DLC would be available end of September. September has come and gone and still no DLC in sight! What gives Xbox?

im having this same issue. i have destiny and all dlc till now. i tried buying in the store on my x1 and in that link above. its not available. i tried going in game and getting it there it says it cant connect to xbox store. i erased everything restored
factory defaults to system. re downloaded destiny and all dlc tried buying rise of iron those 3 ways again only to get the same failed results. and yes i am on the account all the content is licenced to. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP!!!

i already said i tried to buy it in game. i just tried again. still no go. it says query failed could not establish connection to xbox games store.

 

For those of you experiencing issues purchasing Rise of Iron -

Please double and triple check that the account you are attempting to purchase it on owns all prior Destiny content, including The Taken King and any other expansions.

If another account on your Xbox One console owns the DLC, you will not be able to purchase Rise of Iron without purchasing the Collection.

 

Purchased destiny collection with dlc 1 and 2 then got the taken king dlc. link still says unavailable and any other search comes up rise of iron part of a bundle for the collection. if i have the collection isnt this part of the bundle but still cant access
it.

The collection bundle that includes Destiny Rise of Iron is this one:

Destiny: Digital Guardian Edition includes the following:

Which collection are you referring to when you say you own one? If you own the latter, AND you own Destiny: The Taken King, you should be able to purchase Destiny: The Rise of Iron separately. Are you attempting to make the purchase on your Xbox One console
or on the website? If the website, please double check that you are signed into your account. If you have been attempting to use the website, please try using your Xbox One. If you have been using your console, please try using the website.
