    Riptide GP: Renegade XBOX Live Sign In on Windows 10


    I purchased Riptide GP: Renegade. This is a play anywhere title, meaning on XBOX One or Windows 10. I installed it on my XBOX One, signed in and played it without issue. I then installed in on my Windows 10 computer and when signing in to XBOX live, I
    get the following error message:

    "We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live. Your account doesn't match your dev environment. If you're in the right sandbox, switch to Microsoft account for that environment. To keep using this account, change the registry's sandbox and environment. (%1). "

    I tried signing out of XBOX Live and then back in. I tried shutting down the app and restarting. I can still play as a guest but it doesn't sync with my progress on the XBOX.

    Any ideas?

    It is in final certification as per the developers and is going to be a play anywhere game

    "Riptide GP: Renegade is going to be one of the very first third-party titles released with the "Xbox Play Anywhere" label. That means you'll be able to buy it once and you'll get it on both Xbox One and Windows 10. You'll also be able to sync your game progress. earn Xbox Achievements and Gamerscore, and play online multiplayer across both Xbox One and Windows 10. (And of course, don't forget that the Xbox One is the ONLY version that lets you play local split screen with up to SIX players!)"
    No idea if this includes windows 10 mobile

    Renegade GP Riptide won't start

    I considered that, but am concerned about his game progress being lost in the process. He doesn't have an Xbox Live account to back up his progress to the cloud. Are game save files deleted during the uninstall/reinstall process?

    As a follow up, look at more options then game management leads to a selection for viewing saved data. It says any saved data, such as game progress, will be shown there. No saved data is shown for this game even though my son has made a lot of progress,
    which has been saved and then continued over multiple sessions.

    So for what it's worth my save file did pop back up once the game was installed and it didnt show any signs of syncing in the cloud.

    I'm still not 100% sure, but it sounds like your save file might not be there to begin with.

    If there's no game save shown I'm wondering if there was corruption with the install and it affected the save file as well.

    I'm not sure about whether uninstalling a game removes saved files that arent backed up. I looked around online and most results just referred to the cloud system (which you mentioned your son doesnt utilize). I did test this out on a game just now (Halo:
    Reach) and my save disappeared from the game details after I uninstalled it.

    I'm reinstalling it now and I'll reply back here if my save shows back up without having to launch the game and have it sync with the cloud.
