    First of all, I was charged twice for the subscription ~ once on April 1, and then again on April 18. I contacted Xbox to correct the problem and they assured me that I would receive a refund. Since then I have spoken to them two more times and have gotten
    the same response "It will be there within 5 business days". Well, it has been more than 10 days and I STILL have not rec'd a credit on my card! I feel that I have been lied to and that Xbox has simply ripped me off!!

    I am one of the close to a million YouTube viewers who have watched videos on fixing the 3 Rings of Death on our XBOX 360s. This is the second XBOX 360 that has failed to live up to hardware standards. The first died within 2 years. This second died 3
    months past the extended (since they know its defective) 3 year warranty. While a 3 year warranty sounds great it does not make sense that a company blatantly tells its customers that "*** happens." Hardware breaks...too bad, you want a new XBOX 360, then
    pay us what a used XBOX 360 sells for at Gamestop. This is deceptive consumer fraud at its worst. I have spoken with 360 reps for hours and the company line is..."you want a replacement...that'll be $100.00 online $120.00 over the phone." I have been a
    Live customer for 8 years this November and an Xbox owner since the original launched (launch night) 2 years prior. I do not want special treatment...MS is selling/has been selling defective hardware for years and while it extended its warranty the rationale
    behind 3 years is trivial. Hardware breaks? Why does my PS2 still work, my 20 year old tube tv, my almost 30 year old Atari still works...my two XBOX 360s do not? Join me and the hundreds if not millions affected by MS's decision to sell defective hardware

    You don't know how banks work t

    Do you?

    Check commerce.microsoft.com

    If the transaction is there then your fine you just need to WAIT for your bank to handle the transactions

    Depending on where you are in the world that could.be 10 business days or 30days after ms sends the transaction to your bank

    This is because of your bank

    International transactions are handled differently

    Even local transactions are done in batches not individual transactions

    So if it takes your bank till the end of the month to proccess all transactions for the month you have to wait till they proccess it

    I have'nt had Xbox live for about 3 weeks now, i've spoken to 8 yes 8 advisers only to be told the same thing over and over again.

    The most likely scenario is that after your son's first console was banned, he tried to do the same thing on the next console. You're welcome to blame MS or Xbox but someone there had to use an account there on your consoles for this to occur. This doesn't
    just happen to anyone.
    This is not accurate. His account and console was working yesterday just fine at 6pm. We left the house then and did not return until 10pm. He saw the device ban, showed me and we went over to his sister's xbox to log in and see if he could access his
    account, but after turning it on, it said the same message. It was all within 5 minutes of finding his xbox had the console ban. He did nothing to her xbox to "tamper" with it. I was sitting there while he tried to log in.

    I'm not blaming microsoft for his xbox ban. As I said, it is what it is. I don't want his console unbanned. If he did something that got him banned, so be it, he pays the price. It's ridiculous that another console in the house is now banned too just
    because he at one time logged into that device. His account isn't even the main account attached to her console. She has a perfect record on her account, no suspensions or bans. So just delete his account from her device. It's not like he could have
    used the account to get online anyway on her console. It's a lot of money invested. So all the money we shelled out for the live account, and the games and content that was downloaded is now gone for both accounts UNLESS we go out and purchase two new xboxes. Fishy. I'm
    not buying more products from this company. It's a racket if you ask me to get you to spend more money.



    Just very aggravated at the entire situation. And even more aggravated that there is no way to talk to anyone there that has a clue.

    Yep you receive an e-mail when you choose to turn off automatic renewal. "Expiration Notification for Gold Family – 12 Month" -> Subject. Body -> Dear GAMERTAG HERE,

    Your subscription to Gold Family – 12 Month will expire on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. To avoid a possible interruption of your subscription service, please renew your subscription by Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

    That's the e-mail you get to your e-mail ~3 minutes after you speak with an XBOX Live Representative telling them you want to cancel auto renewal. Easiest 5 minutes phone call ever. They also give you a service request number in case you want to call back
    about that same issue. So there is your proof right there that you canceled the account, if there's an error tell them to look into that support inquiry. Clearly if you got the e-mail you have a date on there of when it was canceled you'd get that same one
    or something similar to that with Gold Family being Gold Membership, but I guess you don't have that on the date that you're saying you canceled it.

    Oh, I take back the respect rofl, your just trying to be a a-hole it seems, I am a 42 year old disabled veteran of desert storm, Yeah i know more about many things, that you will never "Get".

    In this particular instance we are talking about a company that charged someone for a service on a credit card that this person gave them permission to charge on, then that credit card was removed and a new card added to this mans bank account, this should
    have stopped the recurring billing, as the card that was authorized is no longer valid, however Xbox has some sneaky shady way of charging the actual bank account and not the credit card itself, so once this card added to his account was no longer active,
    he did not owe any debt at all, the account should have been inactive, you are quoting laws and rules, that have no effect on this instance at all, this man owes no debt at all.

    Ans even if new laws were put into place in the last year that contradict this, his issue was 2 or more years ago, and would fall under those laws, not the current ones.

    when clicking manage account

    it says to TURN off autorenewal you MUST call support in your region
