    Rip CD function from the 360 Needs to be reimplimented for the Xbox One.


    One function that Xbox 360 to this day that makes it slightly superior to the Xbox one was the ability to Rip Music CD's that the owner had straight onto their console so that they could play music in the background as the owner would play a game of their choice while their favorite music jammed out in the background. I initially had hoped that this function would've remained present in the upgraded Xbox One. However the lack of this functionality has left myself and gob knows how many others sorely disappointed and relenting from the lack of the function. I'd like both the community and the Xbox staff to properly consider reinitializing this function for the Xbox one IF possible. Because let's face it playing your favorite music while gaming is just FUN and amusing. And isn't THAT why consoles exist to begin with to be an ENTERTAINMENT DEVICE if it can't do that then it's failed at it's purpose technically.. but to each their own I suppose.. In anycase I would like everyone to seriously think hard on this one Do you want the Rip CD Function on the Xbox 360 to transition it's way to the Xbox One, and Why?

    Hi James,

    Please refer to Stuart's and pawncracker's responses. You will need an audio CD to then rip those songs into MP3 but a data CD with MP3 files already on it will not be able to rip on the Xbox 360. You will need to create an audio CD using the MP3 files you
    have from a program on the PC or move the files to a flash drive and play the songs through the media player as mentioned by our ambassadors.

    No, due to copyright issues. Your only option would be to rip the music from a CD to the Xbox 360.

    I'm guessing that you just burned the music files to disc?

    The 360 will only rip music from an audioCD. So if you have a lot you want to put on your 360 you will need to buy some rewritable CDs.

    When you have an audioCD in the drive, simply press A to start playing and you will see the option called 'Rip CD'.

    Yes it needs to rip cds. Then the cd can be put away. Everyone that rips cds does not illegally share them.
