Right Thumbstick Issues After Controller Update Render Games Unplayable

Ok so I updated my controller tonight before downloading titanfall. Ever since then, the right stick is "stuck". The actually stick is not stick, but the vertical axis frequently moves upward automatically all the way to the upper limit. It happens almost
every few seconds, and I cannot enjoy my games. I tried to restart the system, unplug it, EVERYTHING. I am currently lost. Also, this happens in all games and in menus.

Xbox One Controller Thumbstick Drifting Up

Hello,

This is the second Xbox One controller I have bought in the past 4 months that has had an issue where the thumbstick drifts up. On my last controller, the right thumbstick had the issue, now it's the left thumbstick. It makes most games unplayable. What
can I do to resolve this?

Another slight update. After some experimenting with various games, it seems that the right thumbstick and right trigger buttons are not functioning.

It looks as though I am in need of a new controller.

 

I started having this problem yesterday. I don't think I had an update but my day one edition controller is having the same problem. It automatically moves upwards and i have to constantly keep down position to keep it centered. I had purchased a second
controller and turned that one on and it seemed to resolve the issue. I will try the Day One controller after a bit to see if it fixes itself.

I have a Day One too and mine started doing the same last week , i have updated it but still it happens

I had a day one edition that was doing that before I got the update, about 2 months ago actually. Honestly I'm not sure what I was thinking getting the first production run anyway. It's flimsy and just really doesn't feel good in my hand, and the seem
is loose like the top wants to come off.

I called support and set up an exchange for a new controller. I was shocked to hear that it has a very long turn around time, but when the agent explained to me that this is the first time they are actually guaranteeing that when you send in a limited edition
item that you will actually get a LE item back. According to the agent they are doing it on a case by case basis so they are sending in brand new controllers to the customer shop, having them "tricked out", and then shipping them back and sending them to
us. It's a 6 week wait, but who silly enough to not have a back up controller.
