Right thumb stick problems.

My right thumb stick all of a sudden has locked and it won't go to the down position without serious clicking and chunkyness. After looking in the service plan section, I'm finding that my only option is to replace the controller myself. Say it isn't so.

Right thumb stick drift

So for the past week I started getting drift playing Neverwinter. Controller is only 9 months old with 3 months of it not used as we were away. Now the only thing Microsoft will do is make me ship it out to them costing 20-25 for an international shipment
and be without a controller for weeks......anyone else feel this system of "warranty" is bogus and useless?.....many companies will ship the replacement out and have you return the defective unit in their shipping box. it is time Microsoft get with the picture
and try customer service out for a while. Guess my only option that is reasonable is just lay out the 60 bucks for a new one at my local wally world..unreal

I dropped my controller by accident and now the bottom right thumb stick is jammed in and because the xbox (I'd like to point out that ps3 use normal screws) screws are very difficult to get hold of, I have to buy my third controller. I am also moving to
ps3 because if I drop my controller and it breaks I can fix it! unlike xbox.

to those in this case, you can dismantle and remove the small piece [Mod Removed - Please do not post self-repair help]. it was a small peice that seems kinda usless

It took me a while to adjust, but now that I have, a regular Xbox controller doesn't feel right after spending a couple weeks with the Elite 2.

I'm using the middle thumb stick tension for both thumb sticks. For my right thumb stick I changed the settings from Default to Instant. I have the left thumb stick set to the middle tension as well with the settings at Smooth.

Press up on the D-pad to bring up your smart phone. Scroll over using the right thumb stick to 'Dead Sec Field Guide'. Then using the right thumb stick scroll down to City Hotspots. Press A to select the app and use the right thumb stick to scroll through
each area to see where you are missing a Hotspot.

Hi Oaken,

I'm sorry to hear about your challenges with your controller. Prior to sending in your controller, have you tried a second controller to verify that the issue is indeed with the controller in question? It might be possible for your Xbox one to be reading
incorrect data from the controller (Stick is at 0, Xbox reads a positive value).

If so, have you tried restoring your Xbox to factory settings? This might resolve the issue.
