Right stick keeps looking up! HELP!

This problem has ruined many of my controllers, and it keeps happening for no reason!

So one day, i'm just playing GTA. Just having fun. But I notice that I keep looking up slowly. It is way to hard to play almost anything that requires aiming, because of this issue. I have tried updating my controller, I have gone through about 4-5 different
controllers that have had this issue and I am forced to play with this happening. I am not buying another controller until I know I to fix it. But the funny thing is, there is no reason it should be doing this. I have not used elastic bands to keep from going
idle in games. I keep my controllers in very good shape, it is not sticky or anything, and no buttons are broken. Please help!

Right analog thumb stick stuck looking up.

I hate karma. My controller is now officially having trouble going "left" when using the d-pad. I noticed this while playing season 2 of Killer Instinct when I wasn't able to retreat or block 50% of the time.

It is obviously a faulty controller.... there is no need for a thread at all.... people need to realise that electronic fail..... also the OP did not state anything leading up to the controller issue.... just pointing fingers..... don't blame MQ for
a poorly asked question.......

There is not a lot that can be done. If the controller is fully updated and it continues with the behavior then you will either have to get it repaired (if it is under warranty) or replaced. I know that is now what you want to hear but it is the facts.

I am on my second lunar white xb1 controller ... the right analog started to drift a month after I got it, I took it back to Game and got it exchanged, but not it has happened again 3 months later !!! ... I use it perhaps for a few hours per week.

I have heard of so many people experiencing exactly the same thing, this is really NOT acceptable Microsoft.

Hello riverthomas!

First thing to try would be to see if there is a firmware update that can be applied. Follow the relevant steps in the link below to do so:
