Right Side of Controller inoperable

So over the last few weeks I have noticed my Xbox one controller not registering my commands when I am at the home screen. Whenever I hit the "A" button it takes atleast 5 or 6 times to register then it will perform the command. I could deal with that,
but now it is disrupting my gameplay. On UFC the A, RB, and RT buttons do not register at all and in GOW UE, my right stick drifts up. So when I am running I am looking straight up into the air. With all this said, when I play FIFA 15 it works fine and
when I am in the settings and the marketplace my controller acts perfectly fine. Except in Netflix, when going through movie selections it seems to skip every other movie.

So my question is, am I having a controller issue or a system issue? Please do not tell me to troubleshoot the controller because I have done that already multiple times. I even spoke with MS customer service, with a guy named Adrian and he felt it was
a system issue. However after doing some research, drifting seems to be a legitimate issue. I have even restored my One back to the default settings to see if that would help and it did not, the controller was still not registering commands during setup.
I just find it hard to believe that after owning my Xbox for a year and a half, I am already having issues. So please can someone give me some guidance on what the issue is and maybe what to do.....I just want to play GOW!!

How to adjust stereo adapter? (14th april update)

Here I thought... (which would make sense)

Press LEFT SIDE (controller icon)

then RIGHT SIDE +/- to adjust the Game volume

LEFT SIDE (person icon)

then RIGHT SIDE +/- to adjust the Chat volume

Any chance to up that into the "April" update?

 

If K2 breaks, there is no way that the console will be inoperable..

What if a controller breaks, don't you need that or won't the console be 'inoperable'?

Maybe if it breaks, a distress call goes out and you are automatically shipped a brand new shiny K2.

 

Only thought would be trying a known to be working controller with the system. If it works then the controller is bad and needs to be replaced. If it doesn't then the system has an issue. I had a Day One controller that had a right stick drift up issue and
only solution was buy a replacement to make sure it was the controller and to use while I mailed it back to Microsoft for a replacement day one.

 

I had a Day One controller as well and since then i've had to buy two more controllers because of the right side drifting or the left.. my personal opinion is these controllers really are junk. since this last reincarnation of the xbox "one" with its over
all design and accessories has been nothing but a very large let down.. i expected a little bit more from the company i've been faithful most of my life..

what i would do if you have a game stop membership is try to trade yours in and get the new style at the same time.. a friend told me they have been giving really good deals if you go in that direction..

you know being in the 21st century and all, you would think a controller built with bluetooth wireless and something strong enough to last longer than six months, would have been the first thing mirocrap would have done for their long time customers.. i
wish you luck and whatever you do dont spend 150 bucks on that elite controller or you'll really be kicking yourself some point down the line..
