Right click on Xbox one controller

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have question on function of controller. Right click on a mouse is to build/place. It would be LT/left trigger on an Xbox controller. You can always go to settings in game and look at controller layout also.

I suggest you to troubleshoot your controller . On a computer that is running Windows 8, you can use the Devices and Printers item to troubleshoot the controller. Here’s how:

On the Start screen, click Control Panel.

Click View Devices and Printers.

Verify that the controller appears under Devices, and then right-click the controller, and click Game controller settings.

Check the Status of the controller, and then click Properties.

On the Test tab, test that the controller works correctly. If there are any issues, click Calibrate on the Settings tab.

If you continue to experience any issues, right-click the controller under Devices in Devices and Printers, and then click Troubleshoot.

If this doesn't help try to use the controller on an Xbox 360 console to check for any hardware problem.

I had to replace my XBOX One controller after about a year because the left stick push to click (FPS running) just didn't feel right.

Alright, seems like your controller and headset are fine then.

First up, have you restarted the PC? Probably an obvious answer, but sometimes it gets forgotten. Restart your PC, if you haven't already.

Just to be clear, when you say it's not picking up, are you looking in Control Panel > Sound > Playback? And it's not listed there? Be sure to right-click the background here, show disabled and disconnected devices, just to be sure.

If it does show up here, make sure it is set as the default device.

Failing that, right-click Start button (or press Windows+X) > Device Manager

Look under Sound, video, and game controllers. See if Xbox Controller is listed there, and if it is, check that it's not disabled (it would have a small down arrow). If it isn't, right click it, and Uninstall device.

Then, look under Xbox Peripherals. Xbox One Controller should be listed here. Do the same thing, right-click and Uninstall.

Then, unplug your controller, and plug it back in (with the headset connected). It should take a minute to set up. See if that resolves the issue.
