    Right and left triggers on my xbox controller will move my mouse curser right and left


    I have tried the fix in this post https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/controller-acting-like-a-mouse-on-windows-10/b0400895-3ae0-449e-8b34-e227d3cc201b

    I have also tried other fixes I've found. I have tried installing the devices. Literally nothing works. It didn't start happening until about a month ago. Only the right and left triggers affect the mouse, none of the other buttons or the joysticks affect the mouse.

    Upon checking this link (below), your current Xbox app seems to be part of Xbox App Preview. May we know if you have installed and signed into Insider Hub? That is one indication of you are part of Xbox Insider. As the Xbox app Preview version is part of the Xbox Insider Program.

    We understand that you are trying to use your Xbox Controller on PC however the controller seems to be moving the mouse curser. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

    This could happen if the controller was mapped differently or else there is a setting that we need to set. We would like to ask for details about this concern.

    1. May we ask when did this issue happen? Are you in the middle of the game and what game? Are you in the Windows desktop or app?
    2. Since this issue did not start a month ago, may we ask if this Windows device updated as well as Xbox apps?
    3. Did we install Xbox Accessories app?
    4. Are you playing Xbox games or EA games or Steam games?

    • Also, is your Windows device updated? - Yes, according to the update checker, the latest Windows 10 home update, at least as of 5:00am this morning.

    I might be a part of the insider program. I don't remember signing up for it but it says PC insider program.

    Thank you for waiting for our response.

    There could be something interfering with your controller that cause this.

    We notice that you mention this issue to happen on wired connection for both controllers (Elite and Xbox Wireless) may we ask if this issue persist when both controllers connected through Bluetooth?

    How about connecting your controllers on other PC? Will issue persist?
