Showed up for my Day One controller about a week after Destiny came out. Got really annoying so went and bought a regular replacement with a two year store warranty which had no problems even after updating the firmware. Still had a controller warranty so
shipped my Day One back for replacement and a new one should be here Monday. Second time I've had to replace the controller under warranty. The first time was the controller couldn't stay connected reliably. Was losing connection at smaller and smaller intervals
until it would stay connected for 5 seconds. Before I sent it back though I checked both side by side and the stick tension was just as good as the new controller. Wasn't the spring fatigue I would always get with 360 controllers.

Seems an internal problem most likely with the Y axis potentiometer. I know the 360 controllers would reset the dead zone when you turned them on so the sticks had to be centered. Xbox One controllers don't seem to do this. Intentionally held the sticks
on the One controller off center, but it didn't bother it.

My controller has had a minor drift from time to time, right out of the box. I should have returned it for a new one way back when I got it, but never bothered.

I'm not so sure all of this is faulty controllers.

Yesterday I started having an issue on the dashboard where the left stick wouldn't move to navigate the dashboard. It would last 20 to 30 seconds and then suddenly every input I had made with it when it wasn't responding moved through my dashboard.

Strange thing is, when the stick doesn't work the other controller buttons still do so it's not an issue with the dashboard being frozen (if the "TV" is up in the large box it's still playing too so definitely not a frozen dashboard). This is occurring with
both my controllers.

I just sent Sniper Elite back to GameFly after only two levels because of what I believed was unresponsive controls, now it appears it may not have been the game.

Get a replacement, analogues were supposed to be more durable etc but this still plagues em like it did the 360, its from the constant abuse they take eventually they go into drift mode, on fallout i used to always end looking at the sky when idle, skyrim
i started walking off cliffs, mainly coz of fifa drilling the analogues.

My mate had the same and got a replacement sent out to him from support i might do the same soon coz my pads going the same way.
