    Right analog stick drift

    Tonight Santa went on Xbox One to download the games that my son requested for Christmas. Upon checking the games the only controller we own (which came with the Xbox last Christmas) is now having the right analog stick drift up (making almost every game
    where that controls the camera view / player movement unplayable without applying constant down pressure to the analog stick.

    I read a couple of the forum posts (I picked though a couple out of hundreds on the similar situations). And read the same thing from the moderators every time.

    1. Update the controller with the USB

    2. Do a hard restart (power off, unplug power for 5 mins, restart)

    3. Sync the controller

    If that doesn't work the controller is FAULTY and need to process a replacement through the Xbox site, and if there is a problem contact Microsoft. (Which that is $60 and they don't say that in the forum, although you can buy the same controller online for
    way less) I did all this and I still have the right analog drift.

    Upon seeing the $60, and the hundreds of video, Microsoft forums, and general gamer forums, it is very clear Microsoft knows of this problem.

    I followed the recommendations of these forum moderators and contacted Microsoft via chat. 45 mins of my Christmas was lost being told originally my controller was going to be replaced for free by the representative Mickey, then told I was going to have
    to pay $60. The representative was completely inept and unable to understand the most basic of Xbox concepts, told me to post to this forum and maybe a moderator would know what to do and be more helpful than Mickey.

    I'm now stuck on Christmas with no functioning controller, and only being told to basically buy a new controller, although Microsoft knows this is a design flaw, I'm held to have to fork over $60 or else, with no support what so ever.

    Someone please help.

    It's a controller problem most likely I suggest first getting a brand new control cord ment for Xbox and Opening up your controller and seeing if the wiring is intact or if it's come loose

    Sorry you are having issues with your controller. Unfortunately, there is not much anyone here is going to be able to do. The controller with the stick drift issue will need to be replaced if the troubleshooting steps you listed previously failed to resolve
    the issue. Good Luck!

    Id send it back if you have the option asap, any type of this problem or early strafing its fauly hands down,im on my 3rd now,unfortunatly the 2nd had a no returns policy and the left analouge went in 2 weeks,nothing I can do though.So I would get it replaced,good

    Your batteries might be going.



    I've swapped to rechargeables now but when my batteries were going my car would suddenly lurch to the left off the track on Forza and more recently Lara would whip the bow out, draw an arrow and aim straight up in the sky.



    Fresh batteries and all fixed.
