    RIG 100HX Possible Bug


    Hi all,

    All of my xbox controllers have stop recognizing the RIG 100HX headsets. I have two elite controllers, 1 regular xbox controller and (4) RIG 100HX headsets.

    I had the RIG 100HX Headset stop working on my xbox last week. I grabbed a spare and that didnt work... proceeded to open all 3 spare, try both a series x and regular console, different controllers power resets battery changes nothing work. The RIG100HXs do work fine on a windows 10 computer and an android phone. Additionally using a RIG300HX works like normal. When you open the audio control panel after plugging the Rig 100HX into the controller The top and bottom bar are adjustable while the center bar, the game/voice mixer, is gray.

    Anyone else have issues or managed to fix this after having them. I think its a firmware patch bug in the hardware.

    Hi there Fenix welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Yes, I had a similar issue with my turtlebeach headphones I did the following!

    The first step in resetting an Xbox is to open the main menu. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

    Press the home button on your Xbox controller. This is the illuminated button with a stylized X that is centrally located on the front of the controller near the top.

    Alternately, you can press the left bumper until you reach the home tab, and then press left on the d-pad.

    Press down on the d-pad until you reach the gear icon.

    Press the A button to select the gear icon.

    With all settings highlighted, press the A button again to open the settings menu.

    Press down on the d-pad until you reach System.

    Press the A button to open the ​System submenu.

    With console info highlighted, press the A button again.

    Press down on the d-pad to select reset console.

    Press the A button to select this option and move to the final step.

    Press left on the d-pad to select Reset and keep my games & apps. Then press the A button. This is the less thorough of the two options, as it only resets the Xbox One firmware and settings without touching your games and apps. Try this first, as it allows you to avoid downloading everything all over again.

    When I look up the Plantronics RIG 100HX it is a gaming headset not just a microphone so it is picking up that you plugged in a headset and making an adjustment.

    Are you plugging in a gaming headset and only wanting the microphone to work on it?

    Check this Support for adapters that plug into the controller to bypass the 3.5mm input.

    It may assist you.

    There are some settings you can play with on audio output. Once I get my new cable for my A40’s I’ll have to mess with the same settings due to streaming. Are you running an optical audio cable?

    It's rigged with bugs. The only way you can currently play it is if you join a recent player who is playing it. Or get an invite.
