Ridiculously slow download speeds . . .

So the past 5 days have been dissappointing. The problem has to do with the download speed from the XBOX servers. I have yet to reach over 2 Mbps and usually sit between 50-500 Kbps.

might be great for 2002, but 20 years into the future and with smaller games in the 20 GB range, it’s a a joke.

I have conducted multiple hard shutdowns of my XBOX One, reset my router and switch twice, and verified with my ISP that there isnt a problem. I have verified through my XBOX One that speeds are in the 85-90 Mbps range, and have conducted multiple speed
tests throughout the day, peak and low times that this issue is not on my end, but XBOX Live.

i have seen no updates regarding this issue on Microsofts end, and have followed multiple threads with the same issue.

What i would look at is the DNS setup that you have on your xbox, as well to make sure you are on Cable and not Wifi

Although the Google DNS servers are generally fast, they are also really busy.

What i would recommend is using a combination of DNS (1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8) on your console.

I second this. I have around 500mbps download speed though am currently sat at kbps trying to download the latest MW update.

This is not a new issue unfortunately, and have tried all the same methods to resolve this without success. It makes no sense 😕

i think it's something inside home router or wifi.

i downloaded RDR2 just fine with normal speed.

Are you sure this isn't your ISP throttling the speed to the Xbox servers? I don't have a massive download speed (max is 40mbps) and when I download a game or an update, it always maxes out to that.

Just out of curiosity, what region are you in? Maybe they have an issue just in your region with the CDN.
