Ridiculous Xbox App and Its Collateral Damage

The uninstallable Xbox application freezes upon opening, and I can't seem to find any way to prevent it. This becomes an issue when attempting to play
Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, as online play requires signing into Xbox Live, but once it signs in, the whole deal freezes, sometimes causing total freezing of my computer. Before you ask, yes, I checked, and while the memory of this device isn't
amazing, it meets all requirements for the game, and my internet connection is capable of handling it. So is there a way to fix this?

Can you try going to the Minecraft and Xbox application and clearing the cache of these applications.

If there is any corrupt information this should wipe it out and allow you to resign in with clean data.

Go to Settings, Apps, and then to the program, click on Advanced options, and then select reset.

 

I tried resetting Xbox and I uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft. Conditions have not improved.

Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.
