Rewards Questions/Concerns

I have been a member of Xbox live for years, and joined rewards when I first heard about it. But I feel that how it works is not communicated well. It wasn't until I had some down time today that I was able to look more into it, and learned more about
it. Part that bothers me is that many of the rewards are solely based on purchasing addons for free games. I have played some of the free games over the years, and I am not impressed. I have played to where it can not go any further unless I spend money.
If you are going to release a game like this, just charge for the game $40-$60 and enough of this petty other stuff. I get that it works as a cash cow for you but to me.....when I get a game, I want the game, not something that I have to buy bit by bit.
Also, you offer rewards on pre-ordering a game. I will do that, but I prefer an actual copy of a game. If you would have some way to get rewarded for purchasing the actual game that way I would love it! Even if you offered through the Xbox store the option
to buy the disc, I would do that. I usually pre-order through Amazon or BestBuy. I feel there should be other ways to earn rewards than just spending money on Free game addons. Have a number of achievements or something. Maybe a special challenge in a
game....not one of the free games. I love xbox, and xbox live, but am kinda disappointed in the rewards system. Wish my actual purchases could count some way, and there were other options to earn points. Thanks for listening.

As Smwutches said, you'll want to post your Xbox Rewards questions and concerns on the

Xbox Rewards forums to receive assistance directly from the Xbox Rewards team.

 

For support to see this, you'll want to post in the support section of the forum. The rewards program has had offers to receive credits for preordering physical disc copies of games through microsoftstore.com. The offer actually ran for most of 2016. Offers
usually change monthly.

As far as how the free games work, that would actually be up to the developers, not Microsoft or the Rewards program.
