  2. Why wont my Xbox rewards recognize my Gold status

    I have a 12 month Xbox Live Gold Membership account. Why isn't my reward recognizing the live account? It is giving me only 5% for my purchases when I should be receiving 10%. How do I get it to recognize my gold and how do I get the rewards that it is
    not providing me that it should?

    Issue with gold/xbox rewards

    Hello Bankai Ichigo X,

    Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, as stated in our FAQ:

    —My Xbox Live Rewards account is not recognizing my Xbox Live Gold membership. What should I do?

    Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership, we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member.

    As of July 1st, 2014 we are no longer rewarded for renewing Xbox Live Gold. If you were not aware of that change, you may not be aware of the changes that the program has experienced over the last 2 years. We are generally rewarded for digital purchases,
    however, you have to meet a minimum spending threshold in order to begin earning rebates. It may be that you have not reached the threshold (progress resets yearly).

    However, the reward team will still review your account to see if there are any issues. They work Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm PST and typically take 1-2 business days to reply.

    After examining your purchase history and Rewards Account, as well as your asking about Credits for membership renewal, I agree with Murphs that it sounds like you are not up to date with our current policies.

    Currently, You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

    -or-

    2. By earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders,
    game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. In September 2015, we made some refinements to the program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds.
    If you did not reach any MyVIP ranks with your purchases from September 2014-August 31st 2015, you were placed at a default rank. Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress
    at (Xbox Live Rewards).

    As of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals.

    After reviewing your account, your Gold subscription for the last three months was a promotional, discounted subscription. As mentioned in the FAQ, promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards:

    Error in gold status

    We see that you are not receiving Gold Status this month due to your subscription being a promotional Gold subscription for 1 month. Promotional subscriptions are not eligible for Rewards, so your free 1 month is not eligible. From our FAQ:
