    Rewards Issue with account


    Hello, It seems that my accounts V.I.P status has randomly been reset back at rank 1. I haven't been getting anything back for purchases for months and i'm guessing this is why. Any answers why or how to fix this error is appreciated.

    Issue with Xbox Rewards Account

    Hello Birtch5,

    There is currently an internal issue with the data stored for your account which is preventing a deposit. Our deposit process cannot correctly determine the primary billable account to deposit into for your Microsoft Account, and thus aborts the process.
    This is an issue that we are working on resolving with another team since we are not able to fully access the database containing billable account information. At the moment, we have not received an estimate on when this problem will be resolved. We apologize
    for the inconvenience.

    Support will double check, but VIP ranks reset each year. They were just reset on January 1. In order to maintain your level, you have to spend the same amount or more each year.

    MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December
    2016. Based off your purchases from September 2015-December 2016, you were placed at the one star rank. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

    Furthermore, pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP, which is why you were not awarded payback for your purchases in January and February. From our FAQ:

    What content on the Xbox Store is eligible for MyVIP?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar
    items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    If you are curious about where you March payback is, from our FAQ:

    When will my MyVIP Rewards Credits be deposited into my Microsoft account?

    The total Rewards earned will be calculated at the end of each month. Typically you'll receive your MyVIP earnings in your account by the 15th of the following month, though this is subject to the program's current deposit
    terms. Be sure to keep an eye on MyStatement on the
    MyRewards page to track your progress and watch your Rewards Credits total grow!

    We have not yet calculated the month's MyVIP, so it is too early to see the Credits pending.

    Your deposit is being prevented due to a mismatch between your Spanish Rewards Account region and your Chilean Microsoft Account region. Since your Rewards Account is a separate entity from your Microsoft Account, migrating your Microsoft Account region
    will not also change your Rewards Account region. Therefore, when your Rewards Account attempts a deposit in one regional currency, it cannot complete when your Microsoft Account is of a differing currency.

    However, this issue can be fixed by heading over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com) to update your Microsoft account to match your Xbox Live Rewards location. Since Chile is not
    a eligible Rewards region, this is the only way to resolve this issue.

    region will not also change your Rewards Account region. Therefore, when your Rewards Account attempts a deposit in one regional currency, it cannot complete when your Microsoft Account is of a differing currency.

    However, this issue can be fixed by heading over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com) to update your Microsoft account to match your Australian Xbox Live Rewards location. Since South
    Africa is not a Rewards Region, this is the only solution for this issue.
