"Rewards for pre-order" only working for a specific version of a game??

Hi,

So I subscribed to rewards.xbox.com, saw the available bounties, decided to earn some points by pre-ordering a game (among RE7, new Sniper Elite, For Honor, new Spiner, new South Park game etc) and bought the *deluxe* edition of Mass Effect Andromeda. Not
the regular/basic game pre-order (70€) but the deluxe (80€).

The money was taken alright but I don't see any progress on my "VIP status". Is that expected?

Are you supposed to buy the "basic" version of the game to get credits for the rewards program?

Tekken 7 digital deluxe pre-order

I pre-ordered my digital deluxe version of Tekken 7 about a month ago. My question is why haven't I received the 15,000 rewards credits shown in Xbox Live rewards for that title pre-order?

As long as you purchased it before release, it's a pre-order. There's not a specific pre-order version you need to get. So you would already be set up for the beta. Once it's available you'll automatically have access.

You'll want to post in the Xbox Rewards Questions forum in order for support to check for you. I believe the deluxe versions do count, but there has been an issue with that game showing up in the normal amount of time.

We are not rewarded for earning achievements unless they are part of a specific promotion. If you pre-ordered Bulletstorm in April then it would count toward the Games on Demand Punchcard and would take 96 hours to process which means it would be too early
to see that reflecting on the Games on Demand Punchcard. Keep in mind that pre-orders only earn rewards as part of a specific promotion and do not count toward MyVip progress/rebates so your pre-order of Lego would not qualify for any current promotions.

A staff member will have to review everything else and reply to you here. They work Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm PST and typically take 1-2 business days to reply.

They have rewards for pre-orders on the Xbox LIVE Rewards site.

BO2's pre-order works in a wave system. There are 4 different rewards (or set of rewards). When you pre-order, you get the bonuses of the wave that it is currently on and any future wave. Past wave bonuses are lost.

Nuketown 2025 was, I believe, the 2nd wave reward. If you only pre-ordered somewhat recently, then you likely won't get Nuketown.

For example, I pre-ordered during the second wave so I got the map and wave 3 and 4 rewards. However, I pre-ordered too late to get the first reward (poster).

The map was the only real good reward. Everything else was a avatar prop or playercard background. Assuming you choose those things instead of a chance at winning something in a sweepstakes. Which you won't.

I agree with this. The Rewards Team should change the way that reward works when pre-ordering a game.
