    Rewards emails going to old account address


    Hello,

    I changed the primary email address I use for my Microsoft account months ago.

    I have received 2 Xbox Rewards emails to my current email address for the account back
    in September for the Forza 7 event. Yet the monthly statement emails still go to my old account email and not the current primary email address. Even my Xbox emails are going to my current primary email address.

    Is there something else I need to do to get the rewards emails to go to the primary email account?

    My Xbox Live Rewards email address won't update

    I have switched the email address that my Xbox Live/Microsoft Account uses. This includes updating the address I sign in with, and what is used for all communication. My old address has been completely removed and is no longer visible in
    my account, nor can it be used to log in with. However, when logging into Xbox Live Rewards, using my new email address, which works, Xbox Live Rewards still shows my old email address and still uses that when sending me emails. When I try
    to update the email address by managing my account it just redirects me to my Microsoft Account which is already correct.

    How do I get Xbox Live Rewards to use the correct Microsoft Account/Xbox Live email address and not the old one it seems to have cached?

    Take off my old gamer tag

    I'm constantly getting e mails from rewards linking to my old account which is linked to another e mail address. The email address that I'm getting the messages on is linked to my current xbox account and rewards yet I'm still getting the old account emails.
    Been trying to get this sorted for years and it's taking the piss.

    We use your Microsoft billing email for Xbox Live Rewards emails. Since registering into the Forza sweepstakes required you to put in an email address, it looks like you likely put in your expected email address, and therefore received those Forza emails
    There. We see that your billing email is different from your primary email, so this is likely the case.

    You can view and edit your billing email from your profile page at (https://account.microsoft.com/billing/addresses?ref=amcyourinfo#/).

    Rewards support said that I could not receive emails from them becuase at the time of signing up I did not have the Xbox marketing option turned on for my account. I turned it on after they told me that, but they said it still won't change anything for Rewards
    offers.



    Yes, I do have two email accounts it could have gone to. Both are checked regularly and it is not there. I changed my preferred email address around the time of this promotion so that is why it could go to different emails. The only email I receive from
    Rewards is the monthly statement that continues to go to the old email address. Sorry for the confusuon.

    Hi there, WolfBullet.

    The email address you use to sign into your account can be different from the "contact" email address which Microsoft will use to send you all the information about your account.

    Click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner of the screen and select Microsoft Account, click the Payments and Billing tab and select billing info. From here you can edit your contact information regarding your billing information.

    I hope this helps.
