Revive the backward compatibility program.

Both games were currrent

Are you forgetting that star wars obiwan was a Lucasarts game which still exisrs as a developer not to mentioned still owned by Disney

And pirates is a ea game and you gotta remember publishers need to give permission

If they plan on selling it later a s a retro package they wouldn't want a bc title that's free to conflict with their new package or they simply don't have the license anymore

The BC program basically stopped a couple of years ago...the November releases were a special one-off to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Xbox.

It's a combination of issues as to why they have shuttered the program but mostly revolves either around the fact the games themselves aren't straightforward to make BC and would take a lot of work which may not make it financially viable; there's also the issue of licences...a lot of companies have been taken over by others since a game's release or the licence has expired and been bought by someone else.

With regards to "demanding", these forums are predominantly fellow gamers so demanding anything here won't get much traction...I doubt it would get much traction with MS/Xbox themselves either

There was, but the backwards compatibility program has ended. All games that are technologically and legally able to be made backwards compatible have been, and there will be no more additions to the program

The backwards compatibility program ended last year. Anything that hasn't become backwards compatible, won't.
