    Reverting back to the old gamertag


    So, recently I bought a new Gamertag. It’s given me two. The old one and the current one. All this and that I know about the new gamertag system but, I wish to change back to my old Gamertag. Which is under 12 character and what not. But, I can’t get it
    to go back. I’ve tried to pay the 10$ but it’s told me “You have this Gamertag.”

    I just want to use my old gamertag again instead of the new one but I can’t change it back :/

    Sometimes when people have recently changed their gamertag they will sign in under the new gamertag, but when you look at their profile it reverts back to the old one.

    I'm not sure if that's the case in this instance, but a possibility.

    Unfortunately you cannot revert to an old gamertag without purchasing ... once you change your gamertag it becomes available to any and everyone in the xbox community.
