Reverse compatible xbox one

I think they can still make it reverse compatible it would make it easier I could sell my xbox 360 and get more xbox one games I don't know it seems like they would just have to make a app for it because they needed it for a dvd player you need to download
a app to watch bluerays or dvds it might be the eye its self that reads the cds but I think it be cool to do that because I barely use my xbox 360 at all just to go on and download the xbox 360 free game for live It might scramble up the store on the xbox
one a bit but it be cool I have a lot of xbox 360 games that's why and only 5 xbox ones games but I don't know I don't care I just think it be cool to consider it I really love the xbox one that would just be a feature I would like to see somehow being put
on it just hopefully it doesn't involve making a different xbox one like a slim version that is reverse compatible

Sorry to see the troubles with Battlefield 3! To start out, what type of storage device are you using with your Xbox One to install games? If you're using an external storage device, can you try your Xbox One console's internal storage to see if there's any
change with the download?

 

Xbox One Reverse Compatible DLC Glitches







I've been having this problem for a couple of months now. On some DLC that I bought for current reverse-compatible games on Xbox 360, the system only partially downloads the content. Even with no interruptions (error codes, internet trouble), the DLC "completes"
its download only partially. I have proof of this: on my Xbox One, three map packs for Battlefield 3 that are now reverse compatible are listed as only being 36.1 MB in size. To the contrary, the same map packs on Xbox 360 are about 2 GB each. The clear conclusion
is that they aren't downloading fully for some reason, even though the Xbox One itself detects each pack as downloading 100%.

This is game breaking because whenever I try to load into maps that are a part of the effected DLC, the textures are glitched and the game is almost unplayable. The frustrating thing is that my friends and family's systems are not having any downloading
issues that I know of at all. Not even anybody else on the internet is having this issue!

Somebody please help! S.O.S.!

Anyway, it's not as simple as just making an app like the one used to play DVD's and Blu-ray's. The Xbox One uses different hardware architecture that is not code compatible with the Xbox 360 hardware. While it may be possible for MS to create an emulator
for the Xbox One to play 360 games, such software is a long way off. The reason being that making such an emulator to allow the Xbox One to play 360 games, and to play those games full speed is no simple undertaking.

If you're holding off buying an Xbox One in the hopes that it will eventually play your Xbox 360 collection, then you'll be in for a very long wait indeed. Indeed, It may never come. Or, Microsoft may choose to go the video stream route like Sony's 'Gaikai'.
In which case your disc collection would still be useless anyway.

 

I saw something that seemed plausible and almost a no brainer. Since external drives can store and play games, why not have a mini 360 that connects to the USB 3.0? Just needs power, USB slot, and either a drive or go all digital. I'd be over it if it was
$99 or less.

 

People need to just move on.....let go of the past and embrace the future. If you want your 360 games, then keep your 360, you don't have to get rid of it.

That idea of a USB 360 hard drive sounds pretty awesome. I wonder how small they can accomplish something like that? I'd pay as much as 200 for that if the size was at least 1tb.

 

Its a slap in the face to anyone who buys a console and there is no reverse compatibility.

Microsoft is working on an emulator. This was is an ign article that I read not that long ago. So it is in the works. They are just trying to figure out a way to incorporate it into the Xbox One.

 

The emulator already exist,it's called Xbox 360.You can even use the HDMI input on Xbox one to plug in it.

So futuristic,playing old titles on a brand new system.

Also devs/publishers are pushing hardware limits to make all of these "HD remakes".....Soon to come a 30 years old game : Tetris.

The future looks so old.

I can't wait until Microsoft adds a slot for betamax tapes, that way I can watch my "dukes of hazzard" recordings, oh and I would love to be able to pull my laser disc collection out of the basement....come on Microsoft, this is the future! We should be
able to play atari game cartridges, while spinning a 45 !!!!

Less time spent keeping old technology relevant = More time spent evolving technology.

Xbox 360s still exist, work and are supported, why bother when the resources can be put toward a better product for the future (or in the Xbox One's case, the present and future)?
