    Returning Xbox One console for repair/service in Australia?


    Hey all.

    So my issue is my xbox one console needs to be returned for service. I've received my shipping label ect no problems. But the issue i now face is that my nearest UPS drop off is a three hour drive from me...

    So I'm just curious as the wether anyone has the same issue? Did you find a way to have your console picked up? Or were you able to find an alternative location to drop of the console?

    Any help on this would be appreciated as i don't really have time for a 6 hour round trip just to drop off a console.

    Got an Xbox One, dead upon arrival.

    Okay guys, first of all:

    1) I am not bad-mouthing the Xbox One... quite the contrary, considering how much I want to play it.

    2) The first thing I did when I found out about this was contact Amazon and the store I purchased it from... I am not a fool and I know how the return process works. This is their DIRECT RESPONSE to my return request:

    "Thank you for shop at Dream Kitty.
    We are sorry to hear the item you received is defective. In our return policy we only accept video games return with unopened in manufacture seal condition. Since, we don't have technical staff to fix/repair console so we don't provide warranty service. However, all video games comes with direct manufacture warranty service. According to your describe, your XBOX ONE has a hardware defective issues, another two customer who bought XBOX ONE Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle in this holiday season also have the hardware defective problem. After they contacted the XBOX ONE technical support, and their problem is fixed. So, we suggest you to contact the XBOX ONE and have their trained technical staff to help you solve your problem, if the problem can't be solved via the phone/ live chat and then they will issue you the RMA with return label for you to return the product for repair/replacement for free under warranty service.

    'Dream Kitty' (stupid name, yes) is a store on Amazon, and no longer has the Sunset Overdrive Bundles on sale. So even if they did accept a return I wouldn't receive the Xbox I want.


    3) Advance Exchange was "unavailable" when I filled out my return/repair ticket to Microsoft.


    So at the time, it seemed my only option was to take Microsoft up on their free repair service. If it is unable to be repaired, it will be replaced with a new unit. I don't care what happens, I just want it to work.


    Now for those of you incapable of reading and processing a couple sentences (*cough* FlyinFisch *cough*), all I want to know if anyone has gone through this process and what time frame I can expect.

    As what I have noticed, it's been like that's the normal process in Australia in order for us to return the console for replacement. I know it's like a hassle in our part like driving for a couple of hours just to sent it away for replacement but there's
    nothing we can do If we wanted to have fix.

    Wait for it, Australia will have it easier to send their Xbox One or Kinect to a repair service, I am sure :)

    Improvement for Xbox LIVE for Australian gamers is expected too.

    I am sure they gonna give out some news about changes.

    Sorry to hear about your problem.



    But, the best thing would be to return the console to the store and exchange it for another one. Otherwise, you will need to contact Xbox Support (http://support.xbox.com/en-US/) and schedule a
    service/repair call.

    Xbox one x “ventilation” error. Not the fan, power sup, or thermal paste. Not for diy reasons. What else can cause it.(asking so I can look up and gauge how much Microsoft will charge me)

    They don't warranty xbox ones anymore

    Unless you are in Australia or eu. AA they are t .made anynore

    And since you opened ul the console we can neither help with self repair nor will ms repair it even paid

    I still have not yet received my Xbox One X power cable 15 days after my console delivered

    All i can suggest is call Xbox Customer Service and let them know tgat your console has been returned from repair but your cable isnt there?
