Returning problems of XBL Connectivity.

For the last few days I have been experiencing issues with my connectivity to XBL. These problems have started when Destiny released where I would keep getting kicked offline every few minutes and upon dashboarding I would be reconnected most of the time.
I have since then portforwarded all required ports and followed every robotic troubleshooting response I have received from Xbox Support such as clearing system cache 3 times, redownloading my profile and all that jazz.

After enabling uPnP and portforwarding and setting my xbox to a static IP I have experienced 0 disconnection problems playing Destiny and other games up until a few days ago. I don't know what else to do and I can't play any games or stay in any parties while
playing games for more than 5 minutes without getting kicked off LIVE. My Xbox is the only device effected. It is the Slim model and I am on a wired connection as well. I've followed a thread on here with a user experiencing similiar problems and a wizard
named Taidara or something helping him but none of those steps he gave that person helped me.

I may also add I am a comcast customer with the TC8305C router that many others have been experiencing issues with on Xbox LIVE. And I may also add that these problems have returned to me after I was booted offline by a person while playing
Black Ops 2, I was held offline for 15 minutes and then I was finally able to connect back with these issues returning to me with apparently no solution. If anyone can help me out I'm all ears at this point, I just want to play myself some Advanced Warfare
with my friends for more than 2 minutes at a time.

Xbox Live Party Disconnects

A group of friends and myself encountered a similar situation recently and everyone claimed to have an open NAT. Turns out that one of us (not me), didn't. Once that was fixed our issues ceased. We had a XBL staff member confirm that parties are client side
and not hosted via XBL, so connectivity problems are also client side. Hopefully that helps you with your troubleshooting.

Hey, Wrath! I'm very sorry to see about the disconnect issues! If you could, I'm looking to find out which type of Xbox 360 you've got. You should have either the original 360, the 360 S, or the 360 E. If you aren't sure which one you have, you can determine
this by the kind of power button you have:

Xbox 360 Original: White or Black power button (depending on which color console you have).

Xbox 360 S: Silver/chrome power button that is touch sensitive, larger circle.

Xbox 360 E: Silver/chrome power button that needs to be pushed in like the Original console, smaller circle.

This will help us out a lot if you could provide this!

In the meantime, please check out our known issues thread on this device you have. You can set your firewall to low or disable it to help alleviate
this issue. If that doesn't work, please reach out to Comcast for further troubleshooting.

happend to me yesterday, it would freeze for around 20 seconds, then returned to normal, but everything goes flawlessly today, might be a bug while connecting to XBL

Yeah it is an Arris. Eh I guess that's my problem. Chances are I can't get it replaced... My dad hates doing that stuff :/ I guess no xbox on the weekends. Anyway thank you for the help

Xfinity? Oh, take a look on the bottom (if it lays down flat) or on the right side (if it stands up right). If you find it is an Arris, the best thing you can do is to replace it, as per
mydeviceinfo.comcast.net and
http://tinyurl.com/bad4xbox with a
Motorola SMG6580 (or, if you use Comcast-Xfinity for phone service, the SMCD3GNV). The Comcast Service Centers stock these and will replace it on the spot for free, especially once you tell them you have an Xbox.

With the intermittancy of the connection, I wonder, do you have a MadKatz or TurtleBeach wireless stereo headset? Those can cause connection interference, so I'd suggest unplugging the headset's transmitter that's plugged into
the Xbox and retrying. Also, please check to see if there's a wireless baby monitor or cordless (not cellular, landline cordless) phone base station within 3'/one metre of the Xbox?

If that does not solve the problem or is not relevant, how many bars of signal do you see on the Xbox when you go to the Available Networks screen? Please advise.

Then, try this procedure:

A sequential power cycle is the first step in clearing connection problems, and the order and timing of the steps is important to success:

1) turn off the Xbox & unplug the power supply cord from the back of the Xbox then

2) unplug power from the router (Some folks have a combination modem-router AKA 'gateway' or only use a modem with no router. If either, skip steps 3 & 6).

3) unplug power from the modem.

4) Wait at least 5 minutes then replug the modem/gateway power.

5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the modem/gateway which says BROADBAND, ONLINE, READY, CABLE or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the router. If you have a gateway instead of a modem and router or a modem with
no router, then when that light says it's ready, skip to step 7.

6) Wait until the WiFi light on the router is on; you may not use WiFi, but it's still a good indicator your router is finished booting up.

7) Plug in and turn on the Xbox then rerun the Test Xbox Connection Test.

If the problem persists, please send us the rest of the info we need from
forums.xbox.com/.../155724.aspx so we may work on this further.
