Hello there, I have just gotten off to speaking with a member from EA live chat discussing old Fifa games. I know that online features are no longer available for Fifa 14 and prior Fifa games, however the demand to play these old games is that high most
won’t care. My idea is, to make old Fifa games available on the Xbox market via backwards compatibility and ea access. As I have stated before I know online features aren’t accessible but those who want to play the old FIFA’s only want to play career mode
or offline features. This would be a great way to connect with the fifa community of years ago.

Those decisions are made by the games development team. You will need to talk to them about making them BC.

As this has been answered by the ambassador, and the only ones who will be able to allow this in the first place is EA. I will go ahead and lock this thread. Also with the servers shut down for these games that is another reason the games wouldn't come back.

I understand gamer's want to play old school sports games such as FIFA, the big problem here is licenses.

Sports games, especially the heavily commercialised FIFA titles, contain multiple licences and agreements. Once these licenses and agreements end, the game can't be sold anymore.

The licenses include, but are not limited to:

Licensed music tracks - EA doesn't just choose some tracks and put them in the game, it has to get complex and finite music deals signed and paid for. When they expire, the game can't be sold anymore.

Player kits

Venues

If you do a search on the Xbox.com site for the FIFA games on the Xbox One, you'll find they no longer include FIFA 14. This is because one or more of the licenses for that game have expired. This is why you can't buy FIFA 14 anymore. But, you can of
course still buy the disc version if you like and play offline.

The same is true for the FIFA 360 titles, they only go back to FIFA 15 if you wanted to buy the digital download for the Xbox 360 console.

The fact is, for the large majority of Football (or soccer) fans only want to play the latest version, with all the current players and line-ups. Plus, it costs EA millions for the FIFA license, there is little profit in it for them. It is
highly unlikely you'll ever see any BC FIFA games.

Thanks for your post. The first window of contact for EA would be through their
EA Support Site. There, you should be able to speak to their support about any information towards these games becoming backwards compatible.
