    Retrieving Gamertag!!!


    Ok, please help!!!

    I bought my son a new x box for xmas, but it has been living at his mums for the past couple of weeks. Mum has now got him one again and so this has come to my house. Trouble is...his gamertag (x box gold) from his mums is on there and no matter what I do
    to try to retrieve his gamertag he uses at mine(again x box gold) I just can't!!! I have followed half a dozen youtube vids on the subject. I sign out of all profiles, but the "Retrieve gamer tag" just doesn't appear ANYWHERE. I get a name that I registered
    with for the account, but it's NOT the gamertag.

    Help me please!!!!

    hey all!

    Recently I canceled my Microsoft account. Thereby also my Xbox Live Gamertag. When I wanted to create a new account with my old gamertag, i saw that my old gamertag is still available, even though I deleted the microsoft account it was linked with. Is it
    possible to retrieve this gamertag somehow? Since it seems that it is still around somehow..

    Deleting Microsoft accounts does not actually delete the Xbox account as well. You can try contacting support to see if they can get you back into the account. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

    So the is NOT his gamertag but I think it is associated with the account if I remember correctly. Must be as when I put the email addy and password in comes up......

    Easy way round this is to move his account and game saves onto a USB stick. Then you just need to remember to bring it!

    How can I get my gamer tag back from being reported?

    Unfortunately if your gamertag was deemed to be offensive there is no way of retrieving this gamertag. My advise would be find another gamertag that you like

    Missing Gamertags?

    If it's corrupted delete it (just the GT!) then use the recover gamertag feature to retrieve it again.
