Retrieving game save data from the cloud

Hello, I've been playing Lego Marvel Superheroes for a while, and had 233/250 Gold bricks. One more session would've netted me 100% completion.

Came home from work to find my 1 year old daughter pushing the glowing X on my console again and again.

Later on I loaded the game up, and was shocked to see my save data was at 65% from 25/2/14.

I had been using instant resume for a while, and assumed the cloud would keep a copy of my progress, especially as I still saved in game at checkpoints.

So question is, Can I retrieve game save data from the cloud from before the incident?

cloud saving on XBOX ONE

i had to reinstall a game on xbox one and i lost my progress i looked online and it said that it automatically saves to the cloud or hard drive and then it syncs to the cloud. i have no idea how to access the cloud or anything. i called support and they said that hard drive saves are only for 360. how do i retrieve the data?

It truly is heinous, but it's not MS doing it. Sony does this.
MS does not. Isturbo, it was rather something you didn't do to access offline saves or perhaps xbox live was having an issue.

What your daughter was doing shouldn't have any effect on your cloud saves. It could just be that the game was getting the save from your local copy on the hard drive instead of on the cloud.

Thought about that so deleted save data from the hard drive and forced it to sync with the cloud but still at 65%. Instant resume hasn't been saving any of my progress.

If you overwrite your cloud save data I don't think it would be possible to retrieve an old save from the cloud. sorry

Hi Brian,

Thanks for coming to the forums. If the games are digitally purchased, it will not be much of an issue to re-download them. When the company recovered them they are probably written for PC to read. The Xbox will not be able to read these and need to be reinstalled.
As all your save data is saved to the cloud, when you reinstall and launch the game it will retrieve your save data from the cloud.
