    retrieving game add ons


    i deleted my microsoft account and xbox profile and in doing so deleted the add ons i paid for. how do i retrieve those add ons so i can use them on my new profile? i can't remember the name i used for the microsoft email account or the the full profile name but have the purchase details on my bank account and i know that microsoft also have my card details and a record of the purchase

    Hi StephenSlack, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that purchases are linked on the Microsoft account where you were able to purchase games and add-ons. If you have deleted the Microsoft account itself I apologize but there is no option to retrieve or transfer it on a different account.

    Try to retrieve it from the cloud:

    To retrieve a lost save from the cloud, Go to My games & apps.

    - Highlight the game.

    - Press the Menu button and select Manage game and add-ons.

    - Go to saved Data and clear local saves.

    - Then, Select the game tile, and then choose Select all to make sure all available content gets installed.

    - Select Save changes and wait for the content to install.

    - Relaunch the game.

    Did you know Microsoft can actually retrieve the license on the Xbox One, so individuals that call in for a refund on a game will receive that refund, but they will retrieve the content on the Xbox One!?

    In the Xbox 360 there was no way to process this, so people would call in to get a refund, but would keep the game as well now they can't do their shady tricks. :c

    Then if they lie Microsoft would have authority to retrieve the license over that game that they issued out to the customer.
