Retrieve Kingdom Come: Deliverance save file?

Hello! I used to play KC on my PC a while back, I then uninstalled it and am now trying to play it again but my savefile is gone (same pc and I havn't wiped any SSDs or HDDs)

I assume the savefile was deleted along with the game during the uninstall.

Is it possible to retrieve the save file in any other way? From what I have gathered the game has no cloud save support.

when the xbox app updated it changed the default save location, move all the content from the original save location to the new one

did you check the solution i posted, the xbox app update changed the default locations, you just need to move you old saves manually to the new one.

I have confirmed this works with my copy of the game

this game does not use cloud saving. i have already posted that the game save default folder has been moved since the xbox app updates, this generates a random string folder in the save folder, he would need to move the existing save from the old location to the new to get it back, i posted the link about it.

This might be an old fix, the folder you speak of is there but it was created along with my new install of KCD. It's also empty of any save files. Looks like my saves are wiped and since there's no gamepass cloud for KCD I reckon I'm screwed unfortunately.

Actually, the majority of the games have their saved data on the cloud. :/

You're sure that's not the case with that particular game.
