    Resume games quickly

So I recently picked up the Titanfall bundle for $450 and have really enjoyed the new system. I have never used a Kinect before and surprisingly I actually like it, glad it was part of the package.

Anyway, on to the question. How does this work exactly? So far I only have AC4, DR3, and Titanfall. Resuming Titanfall has worked every time (resumes to the main menu) while AC4 has only worked maybe 80% of the time, and DR3 never works. It's not that big of
a deal just annoying to have a feature that doesn't work consistently.

    :)

I can't get this to work with forza. Well not from "xbox on" anyway. The game resumes where I left it (usually in a menu) and plays for a few seconds, then restarts from the beginning.

Guess that's why it's still in beta

If your copies of ac4 and dr3 are disc based, then every time you take the disc out it will make the game start from the beginning. As you got the TF bundle, it will do it as it's digital download. The other games will start instantly if you leave the disc
in the tray. At least they should.

I don't switch disks when I expect the "resume quickly" function to work. For example DR3, I will load the game up make sure I hit a save point then after shutting down (standby mode) when I say "Xbox on", the system comes on fast but when re-loading DR3
it boots the game from the beginning.

I haven't played that game for a while at least not since the last update so maybe I will give it a test later today.

it might be a simple case of not being signed on when you start the game. if you start the game and then sign on, it'll restart the game. but if you sign on and then start it, it'll resume where you left off.

also, isn't it still in beta?

I wait to be signed in before doing anything, I just like being signed in by the Kinect. Anyways, I just tested it out again and it works.

Not sure if the last update had anything to do with it, or the hard reset I did yesterday, but it seems to be working fine. I guess if I run into any small problems the first thing I will do is a power cycle or hard reset.
