Restoring previous OS to my xbox

I need access to the preview program forums to return my xbox one to the previous operating system i am already a member of the program

After restoring to factory defaults, it doesn't change the OS version/build. It stays on the same (August) update.

 

Restoring a previous saved game

Firstly, sorry if this duplicates any other posts but I haven't found anyone with quite the same problem.

I'm trying to help out a young friend who is playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on the 'One'. He's got into a really tough fire-fight with virtually no ammo, so my first thought was to load an earlier save-game - a technique I was forced to use on the 360 when
Elder Scrolls was heavily glitched and I had to reload after a patch had been applied. Trouble is, I can't see any way of doing something similar on the One (which only appears to show the one save).

I have an external drive and play the same game myself - I can also take my console round to place it on the same local network, so is it possible to:

a) load an earlier save game located on his own console? I don't think its backed up to the Cloud, even if that would help.

b) copy my save file onto his console so that he can overwrite and use that one?

c) any other polite suggestions gratefully welcomed!

Helpful step-by-step instructions would be appreciated, please!

If you want to revert your console to the previous OS then go to the Dashboard Preview App and select the membership option then choose to opt out.

Please be aware that if you do this your console will automatically Factory Reset within 72 hours. This will delete all your downloaded content if it is not stored on an external hard drive.
