Restoring game data

Hello, I'm new to PC gaming but I've been playing State of Decay 2 on PC through Microsoft. I've been playing it for some time now and I was wondering if there was anyway for me to restore my game progress onto a different PC. I'm going to replace my current
laptop and I'd like to keep my progress in game. Thanks in advance!

for this specific game you can do that, you can know if you can play with the same progress if the game is a xbox play anywhere title, not all are play anywhere, titles like this one, forza horizon 4 and halo MMC are play anywhere,, but for example final
fantasy XV is in the xbox store for pc and xbox, but it is not an xbox play anywhere title

It depends on the game. Some games let you sign in to an account which saves you progress.

Please tell us more information. Hacked? You should've reported it right when it happened. It should be uploaded to the cloud, you just need to check the cloud for saves. If the save data was deleted without the cloud save, then you are probably unable to
get the save.

So all I'd have to do is sign into my Microsoft account and my progress will automatically be there?

If your Forza Horizon 4 progress has been lost due to a corrupted file, there are a few steps you can try to recover your saved game data:

Restore from the cloud: If you have Xbox Live Gold, your saved game data is automatically backed up to the cloud. To restore your saved game data, start Forza Horizon 4 and select the "Restore from Cloud" option in the "Manage Game" section.
