Restoring Child access.

Recently the profiles my young sons use for gaming, stopped working. They are linked to the adult sign in as family members, to ensure they don't access sdult content or spend excessively.

So we used to switch on the xbox, load say - Forza, then switch the profile so that the kids could have a go. This has worked trouble free for three months and the boys profiles now have content and progress in games saved to them.

Now when we try to switch profiles the xbox asks "Who are you?" but rejects all passwords, stored emails and phone numbers. I'm at a complete loss as to the cause or solution. Please help me technical geniuses, the boys don't want to lose their progress
or content.

I am sorry this issue is happening to you. I would first start by going to the Gamertag and Profile section of the support page and seeing if you can find your issue there

If you do not find any help on the support page I would contact Microsoft directly to see what is going on with your accounts.

The thing is this there are certain features that are blocked by EA for child accounts.

You will want to contact Xbox LIVE Support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX. They will have to escalate your parent's account to a higher level of support in order to restore your parent's account and all associated child accounts. It does take a while for this process
to be completed and it isn't always a 100% guarantee that they can restore the account. But, FYI, the proper way to remove yourself from a parent account would be to "promote" yourself to an adult account if you are 18 years of age or older. If customer
support is able to restore your parent's Microsoft account, you can follow the "promotion" steps here: support.xbox.com/.../promote-child-account

You have an option to set up parental controls on child accounts. If it's not a child account why does your child have access to it?
