    Restoring Chat


    So I was suspended from communications for a few days, and my suspension was lifted on Oct. 4th at noon. Since then I have been able to send and receive messages fine, and I can join parties just fine and hear others. The only problem that I have now is
    no one can hear me, through my Mic or Kinect. I know that they both work, because I see the mic light up when I speak, but no one can hear me. I have posted in the Enforcement forums, but the current XBLPET Team is absolute trash... I have posted there 3 times
    over the past 10 days with 0 response from them. Contacting support by phone and online does not help either, as they apparently have nothing to do with my account..... Does anyone know how I would be able to restore my chat? I have tried almost everything
    I could think of... placing my xbox one in a DMZ, changing WLAN channels, rebooting and hard resetting both console and routers, everything and still no one can hear me

    If the restoring you Xbox to factory settings. You with have to chat with an Xbox agent who, could help you bit more!

    What kind of chat headset do you use for chatting on xbox,if you mean the headset from Microsoft as wired headset,then check if family settings has been enabled where chatting may have been disabled.If you use stereo headset adapter then there may be problem
    with the 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adapter used for it.

    I Wouldn't recommend Resetting the console clearing it's memory until a Support agent approves the issue and encourages you on doing it. 'Xeronax' Proves a good point it may be your headset or a network issue that may need resolving. either way i can't picture
    you chatting with a friend and all of a sudden your consoles settings prevent mic use its not logical for the console too do such a thing.

    You said you tried everything including NAT settings. Is your NAT showing open all the time. If not it could cause issues like you are referring to. I agree at this point doing a system restore seems a little drastic.

    Hi Sketchyblue,

    Thanks for the response. When you get a moment can you navigate to Control Panel>Sound>Recordings tab and then select the microphone that you are using for chat. From here select Properties>Advanced> and then Restore Defaults. After you have restored the defaults, please restart your pc and try to use chat again.
