    Restoring a previous saved game


    Firstly, sorry if this duplicates any other posts but I haven't found anyone with quite the same problem.

    I'm trying to help out a young friend who is playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on the 'One'. He's got into a really tough fire-fight with virtually no ammo, so my first thought was to load an earlier save-game - a technique I was forced to use on the 360 when
    Elder Scrolls was heavily glitched and I had to reload after a patch had been applied. Trouble is, I can't see any way of doing something similar on the One (which only appears to show the one save).

    I have an external drive and play the same game myself - I can also take my console round to place it on the same local network, so is it possible to:

    a) load an earlier save game located on his own console? I don't think its backed up to the Cloud, even if that would help.

    b) copy my save file onto his console so that he can overwrite and use that one?

    c) any other polite suggestions gratefully welcomed!

    Helpful step-by-step instructions would be appreciated, please!

    minecraft loading previous saved game.

    I have downloaded minecraft java then upgraded to windows 10 version. my room mate talked me into it. finally got on and played on a realm he created. worked for a week on it and when it expired i started my own world. i worked days on it and saved it
    every time. after a few days i got a loading problem. I finally decided i had to restart. i worked on it for 3 days. today when i pulled it up same thing happened. loading problem and it started me from scratch again. I am very frustrated and don't
    know if i have the energy to restart.

    Have you attempted to contact Mojang about this direct. I understand Microsoft owns it but I believe they have their own forums.

    Unfortunately if you created a new save and saved over your previous save there isn't a way to recover it, as it would have replaced your cloud save as well. Really sorry to hear about the troubles and if you have any other Xbox support questions, feel free

    Hello again Adam, this is weird, it may even be a Bug in the game instead of the console.

    Have you tried uninstalling the game and installing again?

    Unfortunately I’ve already tried that and didn’t have any luck, I’ve started again but the weird thing is I’m in a club and when I’ve hit a board or discovered a new road it brings it up at the bottom and says that I’ve compleated all the roads even though it’s made me start again.

    Hi thanks for your help in advance, it’s on the series x, I couldn’t sign in to my account the other day, so I removed my account from the series x logged back inn and when I’ve come to start forza it’s reset me back to the start, so I’m not sure if that’s erased my previous save or not.

    My name is welcome to the community.

    Hello Adam, this is strange, the fact of removing your account and putting it back in the console should not cause the game not to take over the previous "Save".

    Try the procedure below.

    Turn on the console.

    Press the Xbox  button to open the dashboard.

    Select Profile & System > Settings > System > Storage & Devices.

    Select Deselect saved games in this location.

    Note : Selecting this option will not delete your Xbox cloud save games or progress. It will just uncheck the data you saved locally.

    Select Yes to confirm.

    After the console restarts, try to play the game again.
