Restore Microsoft Games from External Hard Drive

Good day

I have backed up two Microsoft Store games to an external hard drive via the Settings app. Unfortunately, it does not show how to restore said games.

Please, can I get some help here?

So, I can backup the files but not reinstall them?

Then what is the point of the backup file if I cannot use it to restore the game?

Unfortunately it doesn't work, games installed outside the current Windows installation are not recognized

Wait, I am not sure if we are on the same page, sir.

I have the same windows installation on my system but just the files are external. Do I:

1. Copy the files back to my system (at a specific location) and then initiate a restore process of some sort, such as starting the download and then copying the files to the download location (like the Epic Games store)>

2. Restore directly to the same Windows Installation from the external Hard Drive.

Backup only works on the same Windows installation

When the games are installed in Windows it makes copies to the system folder if Windows was reigned, restored, or formatting it deletes this file making it impossible to start the game
