Restarting a Game?

I recently got a new laptop (2021 HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop), and I previously had an Xbox. I was able to get Forza Horizon 3, along with several other games that I had on my old Xbox. I just finished Forza Horizon 3, and I wanted to restart it, Just so that I can feel I'm going somewhere when I play the game. I read and followed along with these directions on reddit several times, though I've never succeeded. Is there any other way that I can restart my progress in the game?

What game is it? Some games have the option to restart levels.

Any game like fifa,call of duty,watchdogs.These are some of the games I want to restart.And what about other games too?

Try going into system settings on the dashboard, choose memory, then find "Alice" on the list of games saved and delete it.

Some games have an option to start a new game in the menu. So you'd want to check there first. Otherwise, you can usually start over if you delete your game save for the game.

If you are able to delete the local save (one on your laptop), then you could try disconnecting the internet and starting a new game...as it won't have access to the cloud it should start a new game. However, I have no clue what would happen if you then reconnected the internet..whether the cloud copy would over-ride the local copy or not. It may possible then give you the option of local or cloud

The above is just speculation. Only time I've had a Horizon game restart (FH4) was when I was having long sync time so I cancelled it but then I restarted the game and it gave me the local/cloud opption
