Restarted Xbox Now I Have No Audio

So I had to restart my xbox, but when it was done I had no audio. I figured out it's because of my controller, but it worked fine before the restart. PLEASE help I don't have money for a new controller.

    :)

I am guessing that you mean that there is no audio through your headset that is attached to your controller. Make sure that the audio settings haven't been changed/lowered. Open the guide button and go to settings tab then select audio and be sure that
the settings are turned up otherwise the level will not be high enough to hear through your headset. If the settings appear to be correct but you still don't have any sound check to see if the controller needs a firmware update.

    1. Press the Xbox button
      to open the guide.
    2. Under System, select Settings.
    3. Under Devices & streaming, select Accessories.
    4. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.
    5. If it says there’s no update available, your controller is current. If it says “Update,” follow the steps provided.
I hope that this can help resolve your issue.

Try performing a hard reset by pressing the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts off completely. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.

Losing audio on Xbox series X

Update: Wireless controller had no audio issues.

Addition: Now audio issues have mysteriously vanished while using Wired controller, will restart Xbox to test something.

Update: Audio Issues did not return after restart, will do a power cycle to test further.

    Xbox won’t play game sound

I'm having the same issue. Anyone have any ideas?
This is what I got off my chat with support These are the steps to follow: Press the Xbox button to open the guide. > Select System > Settings. > Select TV & OneGuide. > Select Audio & video. > Change the audio option from Stereo to Surround sound. >
Select Restart now. Your console will restart and enable surround sound from your console to your TV or A/V receiver.

    Hope this works for you
