[Resolved] [Xbox App] "This location isn't set up for installing games."

Whenever I try to install a game through the Xbox app I always get the same error: "This location isn't set up for installing games." Although, Whenever I go into "Set it as your location for where new apps are saved", My drive is already selected, My computer only has one drive and it's C:, So I have no idea why I am getting this error, Help needed!

Hi there, I recently had this issue and found a fix, so hopefully this will help anyone who comes to this thread for help.

When I was digging around for solutions, I noticed that when I went to my xbox app on pc, and then to settings > general, at the top, there was a notification telling me that I had to download "Gaming dependencies" for certain games to work, and that this required admin approval. Seemingly unrelated to our issue, but I decided to download the dependencies anyway.

Well, that fixed it. As soon as the download was finished, I stopped getting the error message that my C: drive wasn't set up for installing games. Hope this helps!

for me it has the same issue but it doesnt show me what i need to download to play my games

This is the ONLY thing that has worked for me. THANK YOU. I have no options to update "game services" my pc is fully updated on windows 10, xbox app is fully updated. But yea downloading from the microsoft store worked.

I had this issue and resolved it by going into the Microsoft Store and updating the 'Game Services' app.
