    Hi guys i wanted to know, my xbox only display 480p but when i change my resolution to 720p or 1080p the screen goes black or it flickers with red dots. What could the problem be?

    I am sorry you are facing this problem.

    I have seen somebody else with this problem and they fixed it by lowering their color depth. Maybe you could try that?

    any HDMI cable is fine. You don't need to buy a specific cable.

    incorrect, if that was the case the original xbox wouldnt work, or snes or ps1 etc. he is getting red dots which is a signal issue, usually caused by faulty hdmo cable.
