resolution problem for some games

ok ive gone through the hdtv calibration and it doesn't fix it, and its only certain games that are having this issue. heres the problem, the image is bigger then the screen resolution so words are being cut of on the sides as will as top and bottom seem
to go passed the edges of the screen, oddly when I hit the home button the entire screen fits into the tile, so I can see the edges, but only when Im on my home screen and the game is in the big tile. current game im having this issue with is elite: dangerous.

Titanfall resolution

some ppl bought next gen consoles for resolution and game play, some ppl bought it just for game play, graphics and richer environment.

I understand both parties, for those who bought it for the Games, TF is a great example it plays awesome.

For those who wanted high end resolution in the mix, i understand your disappointment, i hope games resolution will get better on X1 otherwise it will be a disappointing platform for those looking at resolution, and from what i have seen it is not a small
number of ppl

 

WiiU resolution

Maybe it's a tradeoff of some kind. Memory can be a problem with some games. It's possible that they felt a certain game didn't require higher resolution as much. That would let them allocate the memory to other functions that might have needed it more.

 

Have you tried turnning of something called 16:9 overscan in your TV options ?

 

there isn't an overscan option, ive been working with this for awhile ive taken the time to go through and switch everything in the tv menu on or off or a mixture of what ever but I don't see anything that gives me an overscan option.
