    Resolution Mismatch

Just got a used X1 and when I go to start it up, my tv just displays "resolution mismatch." I've tried 2 different HDMI cables, and I tried to do a hard boot hoping it would reset the video settings but no luck. Any ideas??

    :)

Hi, power the Xbox off, then press and hold the power button and eject button, keep both buttons held until you hear the second of two power on tones then let the buttons go. That will reset the display settings, you will then need to go into the display
settings and make any required changes.

I can hear my Xbox One working through the TV but can't see anything one screen!!!! Please Help!!!!

Hi, you may be having a HDMI handshake issue, or a mismatched resolution issue. Try the steps in the following link. Specifically, power off xbox by holding power for at least 5 seconds to reset the system. Then turn it back on by holding power and eject
at the same time until you hear the system beep and turn on. This will cause it to boot in 480 resolution but hopefully will give you a picture. Then go to the display setting to set a higher resolution, but I would suggest selecting HDMI instead of AUTO
as this could be what caused the issue.

Live TV Lag via Xbox One

Hey guys, there are 2 things you can also try:

    1) Set your STB resolution to 720p (vs 1080i)

    2) Make sure that your STB and the Xbox One have the same audio settings. Set your STB to stereo audio, and make sure the setting in TV troubleshooting "Surround Sound (Beta)" is unchecked. Sometimes a mismatch between stereo and surround sound can cause
    this issue.
