I have an Xbox series s and I recently bought an 4k UHD samsung tv for fortnite and so I changed my resolution from 1080p to 4kUHD for better performance. After that I started playing fortnite in 4k UHD and I noticed that the clarity has worsened and its really pixelated and looks worse than 1080p I mean 1080p is better than 4k on fortnite. Idk why that's happening as I play on only 60fps and still facing this issue and is it a problem from Microsoft's side or epic's or is it from my side only. And if there is a solution please tell I can't play fortnite on 4k UHD because it's not clear. And also games like mk11 are working superb I wonder why is it with fortnite only?

Did you do a hard reset? While it XBOX is on hold the power switch on the console down for 10 seconds or until the unit shuts off completely. After 15 seconds then power it back up and see it that corrects the issue. Let us know.

I would like to let you know that Fortnite only supports 1080p on the Xbox Series S. Only the Series X can play the game in 4K.
So when you use 4K in your Series S, the system is going to upscale the game resolution.

Did you try adjusting the settings on the monitor? You may have to adjust it to 1080I or 1080P settings. The HDMI cable might play a role in this. When using a HDMI it will change the picture making it seem like the image sits far back. Or the monitor
might not support that resolution. If you want to be sure go to gamestop and buy a AV cable. Try plugging that in and see what happens. If you are unhappy of the results, return the cable within a couple days. Make sure you save your receipt.

Never mind, I suppose it fixed itself somehow when I switched my TV mode from HDMI to AV, and then back.

Your HDMI out is failing. Nothing you can do. Component would be a better choice, but your console is having a slow and painful death. Usually once HDMI fails, component works for the majority of cases.
