Resolution Does Matter. Don't Kid Yourself It Doesn't.

Right now the difference in resolution matters for perception, PS4 offers a higher resolution so therefore it is better. That seems to be what is going on with consumers especially with the $100 price difference. Does 900p look much different than 1080p,
not really but one number is lower than the other.

Well I know this if it was flipped around then Sony wouldnt have a leg to stand on because MS fanboys everywhere would be kicking it back out from under everytime they tried to get up there would be a fanboy from MS stating how PS4 graphics are weaker. Fanboys
have came up with this whole "games are games and if they are fun then it doesnt matter" defensive approach. Except if it was flipped around and xbox one's graphics were superior to PS4 it would be all about the graphics around here. Enough Said.

 

@FeedTheMachine, yes MGS was exclusive however it was showcased on X1, and moreover not only the graphics on X1 are terrible compared to Ps4, but weather system is only available on PS4, that far ahead this game runs better on PS4.

NBA2k14 is not as demanding as games like MGS, Thief, etc... where X1 is falling way short.

I paid $578 for it so it's a little more than a One but considering what I've spent on my desktop and accessories, I personally put the laptop in the same price range as the consoles.

Removed Win 8 and installed Win 7. Current Nvidia drivers and a clean boot.

 

Thats a good deal on that laptop I would pay that in a second if ai could get one.

 

So you have bf4 and ac4 on the pc and xbox one to compare them then?

 

@FeedTheMachine, Tomb raider they sacrificed frames in order to get the 1080p resolution, that is why the should exactly the same on both consoles, i can't judge honestly i haven't really looked into the game but i am planing on getting on my X1.

however if one runs at 60 and one runs at 30 there should be a difference on the smoothness by which the game runs on the consoles.

 

Well given all the Factors that The ps4 is $100 dollars cheaper and does 1080 @ 60 FPS on most Multi platform games which is better then Xbox one why wouldn't people buy the ps4? I personally love my xbox one and ps4 but for people only buying 1 the combo
of both being cheaper and "looking better" i would say the ps4 is the "better system" if all your playing is assasins creed and Call of duty ... Honestly looking at the games i have now the only exclusive title i like period is Killzone Shadow fall... I like
Dead rising 3, and Ryse but wouldnt buy it ( Rented it off Gamefly ) and Forza 5 while fun isn't worth the micro-transactions.

 

Grafiks and rezolusion don mean off ***. I hate that I have to see da ultimate grafiks and rezolusion when I open my real eyes. Talk about a downer every mornin. And den da pictures per second are ova da top too. Don't get me started on dat. Not jaggy enough!

Sitting analyzing screen shots,frame rates and numbers ..All i know is when i got my nintendo

(with gyro) christmas '85 as a 12 year old kid i could have never dreamed up what they are doing with home video games now ..Just gonna go enjoy now ,,i'm tapping out of this one .

BF4 on the PC and One, AC4 on the PC and PS4.

Frame rates much better on the laptop on both games which is where I'm seeing the biggest issue on the consoles. Even Ryse I noticed FPS drops which if I can see them then the have to be dropping below 20-25.

Graphics look much clearer and sharper, better textures, etc on laptop but I'm playing on a 15 in screen, If I HDMI to my TV I'll bet they won't look as good but certainly not worse than the consoles.

 

Randver - did you get that laptop used or refurbished or just on sale? That was like a $1200 laptop when it came out. If I could've found one at that price I probably would've picked one up, I ended up getting the G750JW, Asus does make some pretty nice
laptops for the money.
