Resident Evil Village not launching

I have an Xbox series S and recently purchased Resident Evil Village. When I go to launch the game, it won't launch. I get the message "You're too early"? Now correct me if I am wrong but didn't Resident Evil Village release last year? I have done a restart on my console, I have reinstalled the game. Still the same. I saw on the store that there is no release date. Not sure if that is the issue. But still the game came out last year why am I getting the message like the game hasn't been released yet?

That is correct, RE Village Gold Edition doesn't get released until later this year. I'm afraid that's why it won't let you play it.

Hey hope this works for you it jus did for me I went to updates in xbox settings my xbox updated and went back to the game hopefully it works for you too
